Terzi Weather Platform connects businesses with the most suitable weather-realted forecasts for their specific needs and provides financial protection against the inherent uncertainty of any weather forecast.

The Terzi Weather Platform brings forecast providers and weather-sensitive decision-makers into a single commercial environment. It handles the discovery, contracting and settlement of forecast products, so that both sides can transact under clear, standardised terms rather than through bilateral negotiation.
Users define what they need through selectable filters like location, forecast horizon, time step, variable and minimum accuracy. The search returns the matching forecast products available on the platform, together with their price and measured accuracy, allowing users to compare providers on a common basis before purchasing.

To share the risk of an inaccurate forecast between the two parties, TWP prices each delivery according to how it actually performed. The forecast is compared against ground truth data acquired by the platform, and the amount initially blocked at purchase is then distributed between provider and user in proportion to the accuracy achieved.
The platform allows organisations exposed to weather risk to obtain contracts that compensate them when a defined weather condition occurs. TWP structures the contract, opens it to investors who take on a share of the risk in exchange for a share of the premium, and settles it automatically against the observed value of the reference variable at maturity.

Models, algorithms and datasets can be published and traded on the platform. Execution takes place in an isolated environment in which models run on data without either being exposed, so that data owners retain confidentiality over their records and model providers retain ownership of their code.
